Last Update date : Feb 16. 2024
The Pause USB Power Delivery feature is a direct power supply method for your phone, bypassing the battery during gaming sessions. When enabled with a Power Delivery charger (PPS* supported TA, 25W or higher), it supplies directly to the system, minimizing physical battery charging.
Benefits
- Improves performance deterioration/throttling caused by device heat.
- Reduces the possibility of lifespan deterioration due to continuous battery charging in high-temperature situations.
Activation
To enable/disable, follow the below steps.
Preconditions
- When a PD charger (PPS* supported TA, 25W or higher) is connected to the device, the option is activated continuously during gaming, then you can enable this feature.
- The mode is enabled only when the battery SOC (State of Charge) is ≥ 20 %.
Operating Conditions
- This feature functions exclusively during gaming activities.
- It deactivates if the device engages in tasks other than gaming (e.g. display off or screen switched to another task).
- This feature switches to battery charging when connected to a regular charger or not charging.
Note:
- PPS (Programmable Power Supply): an advanced fast-charging technology adjusting the voltage and current based on the device's real-time charging status.

- Device screenshots may vary depending on the phone model and software versions.
