Galaxy S10: Fingerprint Unlock
Once you've Set up the Ultrasonic Fingerprint unlock of the new Galaxy S10 now to figure out how to unlock it with just a few movements.
The Galaxy S10 and S10+ fingerprint sensor sits underneath the display on the front of the screen, and once the Fingerprint sensor is set up to recognise your biometric data, you can confirm your identity and unlock your device simply by placing your finger on the fingerprint guide.
It's designed so that you can unlock your device with just the one hand, no matter how you're holding it. Depending on whether or not you use Always On display, there are two different ways to unlock the Galaxy S10 to the Home screen.
Unlock from Screen Off:
Tap anywhere on the screen to bring up the fingerprint guideline. Double tap anywhere on the screen to bring up the lock screen.
If your device has Always On Display set to tap or is turned off, you can unlock your Galaxy S10 or S10+ by picking up the phone, and pressing your finger to the fingerprint guideline. Tapping once and lifting your finger away will open the Always On Display so that you can check the time and other notifications you have set to display on the Always On display screen.
Unlock your Galaxy S10 or S10+ by picking up the phone, and pressing your finger to the fingerprint guideline. Tap and hold your finger to the fingerprint sensor to open the device directly to the Home Screen.
Unlock from the Always On Display screen:
Tap anywhere on the Always On Display screen to bring up the fingerprint guide, then:
From the Always On Display screen on the Galaxy S10 or S10+, double tap the fingerprint guideline with your registered finger to open the lock screen. You'll be able to see notifications that you've set to display on the Lock screen. Tap the fingerprint sensor once more to open the device to the Home Screen.

The fingerprint guide:
Over time it will become easier to unlock the Galaxy S10 and S10+ by muscle memory. Until you've got it down to a fine art; the location of the sensor is in the middle of the bottom of the screen, starting around 2cm in from the edge of the screen. Hold the phone in the most natural way you can to unlock it; if you're having trouble, register your fingerprints again in a more natural position so it's easier to unlock your device quickly.
