Introducing the mission ready GS23 Tactical Edge Device (TED)
Using Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) S23 hardware, together with an Australian Custom Binary, the device will connect seamlessly with tactical radios and mission systems.
Feature-rich and built specifically to Australian Defence Force specifications, S23 TED will receive full device lifecycle support from Samsung Australia with patches, upgrades, and on-premise support.
Night vision mode
The GS23 TED also features night vision mode to accommodate viewing through night vision optic devices, auto-touch sensitivity to work with gloves, and an auto-rotating lock screen to facilitate use in a flip-down chest mount.
Stealth Mode
GS23 TED devices come with Stealth Mode, secure protection with Hypervisor-based Device Manager (HDM) giving operators peace-of-mind by blocking all RF emittance. GS23 devices are Common Criteria certified and protected by Samsung Knox security, defencegrade security platform .
Special applications for operators
The GS23 TED can support applications like the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) and the Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Observation Kit (BATDOK). ATAK gives operators dramatically enhanced real-time situational awareness through mapping, messaging, and gee-fencing. BATDOK collects and distributes real-time patient encounter information, enabling medics to monitor the vitals of multiple patients.
