How to Change the battery for Samsung SmartTag?

The Samsung SmartTag uses a CR2032 coin-shaped lithium battery, commonly found in wristwatches. This battery does not require charging and can last up to a year, depending on usage.

Checking the Battery Level:

  • Open the SmartThings app.
  • Tap the menu (three horizontal lines).
  • Select All devices.
  • Choose your SmartTag.
  • The battery level will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
  • Replacing the Battery:

    If the battery is low, follow these steps to replace it:

    1. Insert your fingertip or a flat object (like a guitar pick or credit card) into the notch on the bottom of the SmartTag and gently pull to open it.
    2. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 battery.
    3. Snap the cover back into place.
